HDMI is the main way to connect modern devices—like streaming boxes, game consoles, and Blu-ray players—to your iFFalcon TV. HDMI carries both picture and sound in a single cable, so it’s usually the best connection to use.
Most iFFalcon TVs include multiple HDMI ports, usually labeled on the back or side of the TV as:
- HDMI 1
- HDMI 2
- HDMI 3 (and sometimes HDMI 4 on larger models)
Some ports may have extra labels, such as ARC, eARC, or 4K 120Hz, which we’ll explain below.
Note: The exact number and type of HDMI ports can vary by model. Always check the labels next to the ports on your TV or in your user manual.
Types of HDMI Ports You May See
1. Standard HDMI Ports (HDMI 1 / HDMI 2 / HDMI 3…)
These ports are for most everyday devices and support HD or 4K video plus audio.
Use these for:
- Streaming devices (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc.)
- Cable or satellite boxes
- Blu-ray or DVD players
- Older game consoles
2. HDMI ARC / HDMI eARC
- Some iFFalcon TVs have a port labeled HDMI (ARC) or HDMI (eARC).
- ARC (Audio Return Channel) lets your TV send sound back over the HDMI cable to a soundbar or AV receiver.
- eARC (Enhanced ARC) is an improved version that supports higher-quality audio formats (like Dolby Atmos), when supported by your soundbar/receiver and HDMI cable.
- Use the ARC/eARC HDMI port for:
- Soundbars
- Home theater receivers
- This allows you to use one HDMI cable between the TV and sound system instead of separate audio cables.
3. HDMI 2.1 / “4K 120Hz” / “Game” Port (on some models)
Newer or higher-end iFFalcon TVs may include a port labeled something like:
HDMI 2.1/4K 120Hz
- Game or a small game-controller icon
- This port is designed for next-gen gaming features (when supported by your console/PC), such as:
- 4K at up to 120 frames per second
- Variable Refresh Rate (VRR)
- Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM)
- Best device for this port:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- Gaming PC with HDMI 2.1 output
How to Connect a Device to an HDMI Port
Follow these simple steps to connect any HDMI device:
Position your TV and device
- Place the device (streaming box, console, Blu-ray player, or soundbar) near the TV so the HDMI cable can reach comfortably.
Find the HDMI ports
- Look on the back or side of the TV for the HDMI ports.
- Note which one you plan to use: HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, or HDMI (ARC/eARC).
Connect the HDMI cable
- Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI OUT port on your device.
- Plug the other end into the HDMI IN port on your TV (for example, HDMI 1 or HDMI (ARC)).
Turn everything on
- Turn on your TV and your connected device.
Select the correct HDMI input
- Press the Input, Source, or ☰ (Quick Settings) button on your iFFalcon remote.
- Choose the HDMI input you used (for example, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, or HDMI 3).
- You should now see the picture and hear sound from your device on the TV.
Best Device to Use on Each Port
Because most iFFalcon TVs have several HDMI ports, you can choose the best match for each device:
HDMI Port Labeled “ARC” or “eARC”
Best for: Soundbars and AV receivers
- Connect your soundbar or AV receiver to this port.
- In your TV’s Audio or Sound settings, set the audio output to HDMI ARC/eARC and enable HDMI-CEC / Control Other Devices (CEC) if available.
This lets the TV send sound to your sound system and, in many cases, lets you control volume with the TV remote.
HDMI Port Labeled “4K 120Hz”, “HDMI 2.1”, or “Game”
Best for: High-performance game consoles and gaming PCs
Use this port for:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- Gaming PC with HDMI 2.1
This helps you get smoother motion, lower input lag, and advanced gaming features when supported by your TV and console.
Other Standard HDMI Ports
Best for: Everyday devices
- Use your remaining HDMI ports for:
Streaming players
- Roku, Fire TV, Chromecast, Apple TV
- Cable / satellite boxes
- Blu-ray / DVD players
- Older game consoles
- Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, etc.
A simple rule of thumb:
- ARC/eARC port → soundbar/receiver
- Gaming/4K120 port → newest game console or gaming PC
- Other HDMI ports → streaming box, cable box, disc player, older consoles
Tips if Something Isn’t Working
If you don’t see a picture:
- Make sure the device is powered on.
- Check that the HDMI cable is firmly plugged in on both ends.
- Confirm you’ve selected the correct HDMI input on your TV.
- Try a different HDMI cable or port if available.
- If you don’t hear sound from your soundbar on HDMI ARC/eARC:
- Make sure the soundbar is connected to the HDMI (ARC/eARC) port on the TV.
- In the TV’s audio settings, set audio output to HDMI ARC/eARC and enable HDMI-CEC / “Control Other Devices (CEC)”.
- Check that the soundbar’s input is set to HDMI ARC/eARC.
